Cranking the crankshaft

Every vehicle owner should ensure that their vehicle is running at its optimum and that components of the engine are working to the best of their ability. Engines typically do a lot of hard work and their pistons, moved by explosions created by air, move at a high speed in their cylinders, allowing the crankshaft to mobilise the wheels of the vehicle. Cars must never be neglected and servicing should be done at regular intervals to ensure proper operation. Apart from the pistons, the bearings also need to be of a superior quality and this in turn will allow for lower running costs and a reduced fuel index. Be sure to have the entire engine, including the crankshaft, checked during your car’s service, along with all your usual checks, such as the air in your tyres.

Power to the crankshaft

Power is also affected positively if the pistons, their cylinders, and the bearings are of a superior quality. Freer motion is achieved with quality parts. With the crankshaft being at the heart of engines, it is always advisable to purchase the genuine part and have it fitted at an authorised fitment centre by a qualified mechanic. Using the correct engine oil is another feature that needs to be considered when servicing a vehicle, as the use of good oil reduces wear and tear on the moving parts of engines by reducing friction.

Crankshaft – fit premium parts

Every engine differs slightly from the next but they all have one thing in common and that is that using the correct lubricants and parts, such as the crankshaft, in the vehicle will add years to its lifespan, and that of the engine. When driving your vehicle, drive with the knowledge that you have fitted premium parts and use quality oil.
